The forest house on the ball is surroundet by two fir trees. The back is structured like a pine cone and painted in brown. The real iron cap closes the glass sphere at the top. The place of origin of the glass ornaments is the area around Lauscha in Thuringia. In the beginning it was just a substitute for real fruit which a poor glass-blower could not afford.
